Tibet

The roof of the world — ancient monasteries, turquoise lakes, and views of Mount Everest from the north side.

About Tibet

Tibet is not just a destination — it's an altitude. At 3,650m, even Lhasa will take your breath away, both literally and figuratively. The Potala Palace rises above the city like a dream, monks debate philosophy in Sera Monastery's courtyard, and pilgrims circumambulate the Jokhang Temple at dawn. Beyond Lhasa, the road leads to turquoise Yamdrok Lake, the great monasteries of Shigatse and Gyantse, and eventually to Everest Base Camp on the north side — where you'll see the world's highest mountain from a tent camp at 5,200m.
